AC + Solar, bundled
Air conditioning
that pays for itself.
Bundle air conditioning with solar and the sun covers your cooling. The hotter the day, the cheaper it runs. Free grant checks, transparent costs, vetted UK installers.
The hot side
The sun is finally strong enough to be a problem.
UK summers now regularly top 35 °C. Homes built to hold heat are ovens for three months a year, and air conditioning has gone from luxury to necessity. But running an AC unit on grid power feels wrong: expensive, and exactly when electricity demand peaks.
The cool side
The same sun that heats your home can cool it.
A solar array produces its peak output on the same blazing afternoons your AC works hardest. Bundle them and the electricity running your cooling is effectively free. Guilt gone, bill gone. That's the whole idea.

How much does AC actually cost to run?
The single thing stopping most people is the fear of the running bill. Our calculator turns watts, hours and your tariff into a real £/hour and £/summer figure, then shows what solar takes off it.

Questions, answered
Can solar panels really run an air conditioner?
Yes. Solar generates hardest exactly when you want cooling: a hot, sunny afternoon. A 3 to 4 kWp array covers the daytime draw of 1 to 2 modern inverter split units, so the sun literally pays for the cooling.
How is this different from just buying solar panels?
Most solar quote sites sell panels in isolation. SunCooled is built around one bundle: AC + solar engineered together so the generation is sized to your cooling load. The story is the savings, not the hardware.
Can I really get air conditioning for free?
For eligible households, yes. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme gives £7,500 toward a reversible heat pump (which cools as well as heats), and the Warm Homes: Local Grant can fund solar and low-carbon heating for lower-income homes. Run the free check to see what you qualify for.
Does it work for renters and flats?
Partially. Plug-in balcony solar (up to 800W) is legal without DNO pre-approval and pairs with a portable AC to cut running cost: no install, no scaffolding. See the Portable AC + Balcony Solar bundle.
