- Amount or basis
- £2,500 to £9,000
- Countries
- England, Wales
Who it is for
Property owners in England and Wales replacing an existing fossil-fuel or electric heating system with an eligible MCS-certified system
What it can cover
£2,500 for an eligible residential air-to-air heat pump, £7,500 for air-to-water or ground-source systems, and a temporary £9,000 rate for qualifying off-gas properties
Important detail
Air-to-air heat pumps joined the scheme at £2,500 from 21 July 2026. The system must provide heating, meet scheme and MCS requirements, and replace an eligible existing heating system. Cooling-only air conditioners do not qualify. The installer applies and passes the grant on as an upfront discount.
